DIDDY ON REVOLT TV

Starting today October 21, Diddy’s new Revolt Network is making its debut. Diddy speaks proudly on how Revolt Network will be the ESPN & CNN of music….that makes it the only one if you ask me.

So how do we feel about Revolt?

I for one think it could be great television if Diddy backs up his vision properly.

The more music the better!

Seems like someone might have actually realized that not everyone listens to the same 5 songs on the radio and that’s it.

Sure there will always be shit out there you may not like, but what a breath of fresh air it would be to turn on the television and see shit you do like….or even better find new shit that you like!

Maybe we can even get some Revolt exposure for some of these local artists we are trying to get looks…who knows but to me it seems like a step in the right direction.

I’ts not like MTV or VH1 promote music anymore. All you see on there is fucked up fat old celebrities dancing or some weird shit…or fucked up white trash prego teenagers…or rich people flaunting their money. I guess people love that shit too but hey…it ain’t music.

Way to go Diddy…best thing since “No Way Out“?…

“Letter of Recognition” from Ms. Lauryn Hill

If you didn’t hear, Ms. Lauryn Hill of the Fugees was incarcerated on July 8th for failure to file taxes from 2005 to 2007. She was just released from her 3 month sentence on October 4th and released a “letter of recognition” to her fans on her tumblr page yesterday, October 8.

The letter read…

“Letter of Recognition –

Firstly, I want to thank everyone who wrote letters and sent packages and books. Because of you there was not one day that I didn’t receive mail while I was away. I appreciated that. Know that many of your letters not only touched me but continued to confirm for me what I already knew but needed to hear again: that sincere expression has a serious purpose. If one of you had been touched, picked up, encouraged or prevented from succumbing to some measure of social or Spiritual decline, then it was worth it. Folks, walk strong, seek light and Universal reproof in all things. Know that man-made concerns and Universal concerns are not always in agreement. Obviously, strive to please God. Thank you again and again.

Ms. Lauryn Hill wasted little time reaching out to those who supported her while she was locked up.

I must say I’ve always been a huge L Boogie fan. It is great to see her out of incarceration and back in the lab…that’s right, she also released her new single “Consumerism” where she spits about racism, egotism and greed among other topics. Let’s hope we get more from Ms. Hill in the near future.
